as part of Sisal Wincity’s FOOD & FUN retail format, a 12-event series running until mid-July 2023, the 8th evening focused on virtual worlds. guests, equipped with Oculus Meta Quest 2 headsets, explored brand-exclusive virtual spaces designed to promote accessibility to new technologies and showcase new frontiers of entertainment.
the event exceeded all participation expectations, achieving more than 70% above the target
over 67% of users who participated in the experience later engaged with the Sisal brand
the interest in technology and immersive experiences captivated a diverse audience, ranging from the silver age to Gen Z
the setup of the event included the installation of three stations consisting of a dedicated data line, a PC with dedicated graphics card, and an Oculus connected in Quest Link to avoid disturbances that could have compromised the experience. the hardware setup, combined with the choice of a cloud-based platform, will allow the event to be replicated in all of the brand's stores without incurring additional costs.
the experience featured three interconnected virtual worlds linked by teleportation portals, enabling users to seamlessly jump between scenarios and making gameplay more dynamic and engaging.
the experience's landing point. set in a futuristic environment, the Metaverse Square was built for users to explore and get acquainted with the surroundings, using it as a "training ground" to understand how wearing a VR headset works. from here, players could check out where to find Sisal Wincity Retail Stores and choose which of the other two virtual worlds to be teleported to first.
a virtual environment shaped around Diabolik, one of Italy's most popular comic characters. users in this environment could play with Diabolik's egyptian-themed Sisal VLT as well as admire and interact with a variety of scene elements, such as Diabolik's iconic Jaguar E-type as well as Eva Kant and Inspector Ginko's action figures.
a virtual world immersed in nature where users could fly from island to island, admiring boundless landscapes, and play with a marine-themed Sisal VLT.
